Mary Jo Hart, was more like family from the moment we met. She had endured 2 years of having to work with my husband, to find us a home here in NJ. Then, when the moment was right and we were actually ready to pull the plug on our NY home, Mary Jo was there every step of the way.
She listened carefully on what we wanted, she showed us homes that peeked both our interests and that had extra room for my mother and a safe neighborhood for our children. She was honest with her opinions on some questionable homes we presented to her, and she also provided us insight with all her years in the industry. And don't even get me started on how well she knows NJ.
Mary Jo wasn't some realtor just trying to sell us a house, she was a sister trying to look out for her siblings so that we could find our forever home.
I understand the Reality business is a small community of people, but every home we walked through, every Realtor knew Mary Jo and had nothing but positive things to say about her and her knowledgeof the industry.

We can’t say enough about Mary Jo Hart, Ted Ihde and Exit Realty. From the initial phone call we received we knew it would be the right decision to go with them. We sold our home in Dec 2019 with Exit Realty, specifically with their agent Mary Jo Hart. I can't express what a wonderful experience with Mary Jo we had from start to finish. She went out of her way to make sure we were informed each step of the way, were satisfied, and went the extra mile to get our deal closed. I'd like to think, the amount of time she took answering calls from me (at all hours) that we became friends, and felt like she treated me as if I were a family member. She's very knowledgeable about the entire transaction, and more importantly the local market, and while she was nice as could be with us, she was a pit bull when she had to be with the buyer's agent. Of the different realtors to pitch us on the sale of our home, Mary Jo suggested the most aggressive numbers (by far) and then she delivered on a sale. With other realtors it would have been at least $50K less.

We were very lucky that Mary Jo Hart contacted us when we listed our condo. "For Sale By Owner." She clearly explained the program that her agency had for owners like us. We were impressed with her professionalism, her communication skills and her knowledge of the real estate market in our area. Her company is an exclusive agency, which means we could still continue to market our property on own in addition to her company listing our home. We continued to market our condo on own, keeping Mary Jo's information as a back-up.
About a month after speaking with Mary Jo, we had a disastrous experience with a buyer that backed out of the sale on the 3rd day of Attorney Review. We immediately contacted Mary Jo, and retained her as our realtor. With a quick turnaround, she had photos and a walk-through video taken of our condo, listed the property in several MLS's in our area [taking advantage of the NYC area]; and developed a beautiful Zillow site. Her guidance on pricing was excellent. She did an analysis of the market in our area, resulting in fair pricing. She constantly monitored the listings and sales in our development resulting in regular showings. After each showing Mary Jo followed up with each realtor so we received continued feedback. When we contacted her with questions, she responded immediately.
She treated us as if we were her only client. Our condo sold for MORE than asking price! We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Mary Jo Hart. We highly recommend her to list, market, and successfully sell your home!

She came over the next day and prepped the home for photography. The photos, virtual tour , and drone shots taken for the internet listing (at no additional charge to us) were absolutely fabulous! I cannot say enough about Mary Jo! Where to begin! We were looking to rent a house during the height of the Covid pandemic. We were making a big move from the city to the suburbs and were looking for something very particular to accommodate our family. From the very get-go she read my mind and understood exactly what we were looking for and so began the journey to find the right house! She showed us so many different properties and spent so much time with us! She was always flexible with appointment times and extremely accommodating knowing that we were driving pretty far to look at properties.
Once we found the perfect house she literally held our hand and walked us through the entire process. It was a very complicated rental and there were a lot of issues to work out pre lease signing and pre-move-in. I texted her multiple times every day and each time she responded immediately and if she didn’t have the answer she would get it for me right away. The amount of time that she spent with us for a rental property is probably longer than most people spend on a purchase. She always had our best interest as the renters in mind, making sure to ask the right questions when we didn’t and ensuring to fight and get us exactly what we wanted in our new house before we signed our lease. During Covid she was always careful ensuring that we looked at houses safely everyone were masks etc. we will be buying in a few years and would not even think to go with anyone else!
She is extremely client centric and a great communicator, has a lot of patience and keeps her eye on the ball! She is the utmost professional and is extremely knowledgeable in the market. The amount of time we spent looking for a house that worked for us I’m pretty sure other agents would have given up ! she was never annoyed, never pressure us and was never nonresponsive.
